Wofür steht das Wayfarer´s?
Das Wayfarers wurde in der Planung zum Conquest 2012 von Live Adventure auf Wunsch vieler Spieler geschaffen. Es war deutlich geworden, dass ein Neueinstieg in die Kampagne rund um die Öffnung der Siegel und Argus Treiben so komplex geworden war, dass er ohne Hilfe nur sehr schwer gelang. Neue Spieler auf Mythodea schienen oft mit der Situation überfordert und daher frustiert. Das sollte sich nun ändern. Das Wayfarer´s Arrival wurde ins Leben gerufen, um diesen Spielern eine Anlaufstelle zu sein und einen ersten Einstieg in die Welt von Mythodea zu bieten.
Allerdings ist das nicht die einzige Aufgabe. Es ist genauso eine Anlaufstelle für Spieler, die noch niemals zu vor auf einem Con waren, die noch nicht viel Erfahrung mit Rollenspiel, mit dem Umgang mit Schaumstoffwaffen, usw. haben. Im Wayfarer´s sollen diese Spieler an die Hand genommen und ihnen Spielmechaniken, Rollenspiel und vor allem das Ausspielen näher gebracht werden.
Und noch eine weitere Aufgabe hat das Wayfarer´s. Hier sollen auch Spieler, die kein oder nur wenig Deutsch sprechen, zusammenkommen und Wege in den Plot finden können (Deshalb auch der englische Name).

Aus diesen Aufgaben ergeben sich für das Wayfarer´s Arrival zwei logische und unabdingbare Konsequenzen:
Das Wayfarer´s als solches ist keinem Weg Mythodeas, keinem Siegel, keiner Partei, keinem Element zugehörig. Es ist unentschieden und soll es als Ganzes auch bleiben. Es steht jedem Spieler im Wayfarer´s frei, für sich selbst zu entscheiden, ob er oder sie eisern oder silbern sein möchte, sich den Ouai anschließt oder gar mit der Ratio verhandelt. Doch das Viertel als solches bleibt unentschieden.
Die Zweite Konsequenz ist, dass es an sich nur als Durchgangsviertel gedacht ist. Die Spieler sind dazu angehalten, nur so lange im Wayfarer´s zu bleiben, bis sich sie eine fundierte Meinung gebildet haben und ein zu dieser Meinung passendes Viertel aussuchen können.

What is the conception behind the Wayfarer´s Arrival?
The Wayfarer´s was founded by Live Adventure during the planning of the Conquest 2012. Many players wished a place for new people on Mythodea since the acces to the running campaign was difficult. The campaign around the seals and Argus became to difficult to get easy acces to it without any help. For that reason the Wayfarer´s Arrival way founded. It should aid new players to find an entrance to the world of Mythodea.
But this is not the Wayfarer´s only function. Player who never ever visited a con before should find a place where they are guided into LARP. In the Wayfarer´s Arrival they can learn how to play, how to fight, how to heal and so on.
Last but not least the Wayfarer´s shall be also a place for the players who don´t speak (much) German. Here these people can meet and find a way into the plot.

These three task bring two logical and inalenable consequences for the Wayfarer´s Arrival:
The Wayfarer´s is not bound to any path on Mythodea, any party, any fraction, any element. It is undetermined and shall stay in that way as a whole. Every player of the Wayfarer´s is free to choose if he or she wants to join the iron fraction or to be silvern, to join the Ouai or even negotiate with the Ratio. But the quarter as a whole stays undertermined.
The second consequenz is that the Wayfarer´s is a transition quarter. Player should only stay as long as they need to form a funded oppinion and choose a quarter that fits to it.


Brauchen wir das Wayfarers jetzt noch? Ist Aufgabe 1 nicht mit der neuen Kampagne erfüllt?
Das ist ganz einfach: Ja, das Wayfarers ist trotz des neuen Kampagne-Kapitels nicht überflüssig. Denn auch wenn alle Spieler gleich wenig über die Spiegelwelt wissen, die alten Fraktionen und Bündnisse sind noch da. Es gibt noch immer die Eisernen um die Tivar Kharassil, die Silbernen, die Ouai. Und noch immer gibt es Spieler, die neu sind und nicht wissen können, mit wem sie es zu tun haben, die darüber informiert werden müssen, damit auch sie eine Chance auf schönes Spiel haben.

Do we still need the Wayfarer´s? Isn´t it´s first duty fullfilled with the start of the new campaign?
That´s easy to answer: Yes, we still ne the Wayfarer´s Arrival. Even if a new chapter of the campaign has started the old fractions, parties and balliances are still there. The Tivar Kharassil, the silvern, the Ouai still exist and so do the new players who don´t know anything about them. They still have to be informed about them to have a chance for a good time and good game.
