hi there.

I just want to ask,

in the magic section of the rules it is not possible to do magic with a weapon draw.

my question is:

is a shield a weapon?

Hi, a shield is no weapon. And no, the rulesystem does not write explicitely that a shield is forbidden. Nevertheless, we count the shield under "Armour" heavy as "worn metal armour". And by this, casting a spell with a shield in your hand is not possible.

And: If someone touches the shield, making you shake while you cast your spell, chance is high that this will interrupt your concentration too, rendering the spell useless (Fumble). So, two sides for a "No, it does not work" ;o).
